Terraliva is a family story that speaks with its quality extra virgin olive oil, beauty, tradition and passion that makes you live an EXTRAORDINARY experience all Made in Sicily.
It is said that long ago the Cherub Angels came down from Paradise in search of the best olives. After wandering for a long time, they found perfect land and decided to stop there to produce the best oil and to take to Heaven: they called that place TERRALIVA (Land of Olives). Even today in the autumn evenings with a little luck you can see the cherubs harvesting olives in our fields and resting, before embarking on the long journey, in the rooms where our farm now stands. We are located in Buccheri in the province of Syracuse, in the heart of the Iblei Mountains, at an altitude of 700 meters (maximum limit of fruiting of the olive tree). In our 10 hectares of volcanic soil, completely uncontaminated because they are kilometers away from industries, our centuries-old olive trees with ancient native cultivars rise, enjoying the strong temperature range between day and night. The latter stresses the plants in a natural and positive way, giving us a high quality product with unique and precious organoleptic properties.
We harvest our olives exclusively by hand, without the aid of machinery that would instead cause trauma to the fruit. After a rigorous and careful selection, the olives are placed in special ventilated boxes, ready to be immediately brought to the mill. During the washing of the olives, a further and careful selection is made, in which only the best will be brought to a cutting-edge machinery dedicated to milling.

After the milling we obtain a wonderful product which is then filtered and placed under nitrogen in silos at a controlled temperature. Our extra virgin olive oil is obtained only from the cold pressing of hand-picked olives and is certified Organic, IGP Sicily, Kosher and Halal for the respect and needs of Jewish and Muslim religions. In this way we ensure the compliance of the oil with these laws, for a total purity of the product without any contamination. In addition, our Cherubino is a Slow Food Presidium.
We love the Earth, we respect it and we pay attention to the environment. In fact, since 2003 we have been producing organic extra virgin olive oil without any synthetic chemical product, to preserve biodiversity, live in harmony with the ecosystem and because we care about the well-being of every consumer and we want to make sure that you have a highly healthy and totally natural product at the center of your table. In our own small way we try to safeguard the planet from waste and pollution, and for this reason we silk-screen most of our bottles to make recycling simple. We prefer stainless steel bottles (which can then be reused for other purposes and personal uses) in order to ensure significant fuel savings in transport - and therefore lower CO2 emissions - thanks to the small weight of the material.
Constancy, continuity and search for quality are our key objectives that we carry out with a lot of passion and determination through the use of innovative materials for packaging, cutting-edge production techniques and continuous refresher courses.
